After The Smoke ........

Posted 07-06-2008 at 12:58 PM by DARKFLAME
Well, I decided to get some "AFTER" fourth of july beach action here in good ole' LONG BEACH , CA. But as usual our local visitors leave more than "GOODIES" behind in the sand ......LET"S SEE WHAT WE GOT .....trash as far as i can see , diapers , lots of shoes , and burned out fireworks.
The Sand king machines that usually come by after holiday clean-up do a fair job most of the time, but it really stinks when retrieving a target with my scoop , I hit a "SOGGY" Watermelon with it .
So off to the surf i go to Rinse my find and scoop.

Finds were few and far between...some clad , bracelet (kids).....But i was digging some clad at 8" ...

Most of the time i run into heavy minerals and use my minelab xs2a as my primary machine and bring my DFX/BIGFOOT combo as backup.

Happy hunting ....I 'm heading to Manhattan beach...
