Posted 10-17-2007 at 11:18 PM by EPC Guy
Now I had TWO "Daddy's Girls" only now, it was "enduring" bubblegum boy-bands, finding leg hair in my razors and trying not to cry when one of them broke out the headlight on my Jeep AND the tail light on Peggy's car trying to learn to parallel park...

Then it was homecoming, proms, pimple-faced boys with baggy pants and hair that was too long - not to mention holding both of my "all grown up" young ladies on my lap at one time or another and wiping away...

Ever since I started using my metal detector in earnest - and began talking with the fine folks on TQ - it occurred to me that I've seen a somewhat common thread that binds everyone who's passionate about this hobby.

It's not the all-consuming desire to strike it rich - although no one would walk away from a buried cache of gold bullion! But rather, I think, maintaining a connection to times past; and preserving values that seems to be less and less evident in the world we live in...

Just wanted to see if I was working this function correctly...as much time as I spend on the computer - this is the first time I've had a blog. Once I figure it all out - I'm sure I'll have tons of profound things to say!
