I have never done a blog thing but I am going to try and do this for a bit. I have been detecting since the last week of June this year, almost 10 weeks and it has been fun. I have made a lot of new friends and learned a great deal.
I now have 3 detectors and another on the way. I am lucky to be able to get the things I need and want and don't take this for granted. It has not always been this way. I have learned that it is not the detector that determines your finds but your ability to use and understand it. I am still concentrating on learning my Prizm V, the first one I bought and have committed to getting very good with this machine.
I am working with my 5 year old grandson to help him learn to detect. He gets bored quickly but I am patient. I want him to learn as much as he wants to about this fun hobby. And maybe I can even get my wonderful wife Bev to pick one up someday soon. We are going to the FMDAC Hunt in Nov in Butler PA and I hope it is a much fun for them as I know it will be for me. I am very excited about meeting Boobie there. He is an inspiration to me and I try to emulate his professionalism and kindness.

Welcome to the blogs,JC.A blog is new to me also as I am totally computer illterate.The FDMAC should be fun.I've heard good and bad about them however.With boobie there,you two should overcome any obstacles that jump up.I enjoy all your posts.Goodluck in the big hunt.

I hope we'll get the chance to hunt together, JC...since I travel so often as part of my job, I'm making sure that I let folks know where I am so the odds are good that I'll meet a lot of you fine folks!
