Just rub some dirt on it...

Posted 11-16-2007 at 02:50 PM by munderwood66
you will be alright...ever heard that one before? That used to be all it took for me and I was fine or at least coping. I guess it has been a while since I have had anything other than a minor injury, but 2 weeks ago I decided to take a dive off a 16' ladder. Oh, not by choice mind you, maybe a combination of bad luck and stupidity, but it wasn't by choice.
The injuries: One large gash in my forehead surrounded and elevated by a nice egg-shaped welp followed by a black eye; sore back; very bruised arm, hand, and ego.
The fix: 2 butterfly bandages for the forehead, 2 muscle relaxers for the arm and back, many tylenol and 1 pint bourbon for all the pain.
The ego still isn't better...every one I know that sees the lingering black eye are busy rubbing dirt in it though!
