Cooler Weather & Time To ...

get the ole Garrett out for some detecting. This summer and the early fall was very hot and humid around here which is a definite deterent to me. Now the weather is cooling and the crops are just about harvested and I am looking forward to getting back to some of the old farmstead sites that I discovered last winter. I've been out twice so far ... once to an old house site that is now a soybean field and once to a 100 year old house that's empty right now about 2 doors down from me. The 100 year old house has been disapponting so far ... 37 clad coins, 3 matchbox cars, and a handful of trash ( not a single wheatie or piece of silver as yet). Anyway, I hope to have some good finds to post in the upcoming months!
