Many good sites ended up covered over for parking ...one example i can think of, a couple of historical houses were ready to be moved from their foundations . seeing a choice opportunity i detected the dirt lots around them. I dug many good keepers (coins, tootsie toy cars, marbles, and some skeleton...

I went to spend Fourth of July with my fiancee up on Staten Island and she asked me to bring my equipment up so that I could spend some time hunting at South Beach (not too far from Verrazano Bridge) while she grabbed some rays.

Well, that turned out to be a huge bust ! Spent a lot of time digging odd signals and found absolutely NADA, including 3 or 4 blobs of lead that were ringing up as pretty strong quarter or half-dollar signals.

Alabama Farm find

Posted 07-06-2008 at 03:38 PM by Jeepdude66
This past week I did a search of an area on some property my mother owns. There was nothing to show an old homestead except for some bricks in the middle of the forest. I almost instantly found some old farm tools, Shovel head, hoe head, old wheel probably from a turn of the century baby buggy, and about 13 bullets of different sizes. Lots of mason jar lids were found and most of an old watch. I took pictures of most of the stuff that I kept.

After The Smoke ........

Posted 07-06-2008 at 12:58 PM by DARKFLAME
Well, I decided to get some "AFTER" fourth of july beach action here in good ole' LONG BEACH , CA. But as usual our local visitors leave more than "GOODIES" behind in the sand ......LET"S SEE WHAT WE GOT .....trash as far as i can see , diapers , lots of shoes , and burned out fireworks.
The Sand king machines that usually come by after holiday clean-up do a fair job most of the time, but it really stinks when retrieving a target with my scoop , I hit a "SOGGY"...
