Default My Best Find This Year

Hello all, I'm a newbie here. Figured I would share with you a sweet barrel inkwell I found today at a construction site. I've been working this site for about a year now. Things are still frozen here in Maine but the bottles are starting to thaw. This one was found in a slush puddle

It's super crude and whittled with a pontil base, circa 1865.

It's in perfect condition except for some light staining. Here are a few more pictures from the site. Though you all might enjoy.

That's the only problem up here in Maine. It's cold and snowy 6 months of the year

We're just getting started. I'll be sure to keep posting my finds.

I like the inkwell but in the last pic the blue bottle, does it have any letters on it? and if so what does it say? i have a blue bottle that says "poison" and on the bottom philidaphia ect, and it was worth like $100-$120! so check it and get back to me if u can. HH (happy hunting) CS

Coin_Sniper~The blue bottle is just a common Bromo-Seltzer. But it is blown in the mold, not ABM like most. I wish it were a poison.
