Default Davenport, Iowa

Hello all. I'm a big time insulator collector and I know nothing about bottles. But I wanted to pass this little info on. About a year or so ago a young high school football player was Paralyzed in a game. A non profit organization built this young man a new home for his condition. While digging the fondation they ran across thousands of old bottles. There was a story in the paper about an old glass company being there and that they had barried all there garbage there. It claimed they tried to sell them, what didn't sell was recylied ?? Funny I was told insulators couldn't be recylied due to the type glass they used. But anyway I thought it was on either 6th or 8th street in Davenport Iowa. and for that diehard collector of bottles. You never know what may lay there. Just food for thought. Joe

It would be very interesting to see exactly what all is buried there.
