Hey Everyone. I received my Quick Draw II yesterday and now I have to figure out how it works

What I am running into is quite a few unrepeatable signals. Of course the signals repeat each time I sweep across, but it isnt the same signal each time, for instance, I will sweep once, and it will show as a quarter 4 inches down, the second sweep it will show as a penny 8 inches down. From what I know and have read, this is more than likely oddly shaped trash and shouldnt really be dug up. I am okay with that, but it seems like I get an awful lot of these "trash" signals. The only places I have hunted so far are my sisters yards and a beach.

Is this pretty much the norm?? I did find a lot of trash in my sisters yard, but havent found any at the beach....but then again it could have been aluminum??

SKEETR, If you have a sensetivity control...back it down when you get those multiple beeps...Could be good stuff and trash mixed close together...PAPPY

I am also starting to learn about the discrimination and the auto notch features of the QDII.

Hopefully it wont be too long before I pop my cherry and get out of the newb status....

And....you probably are picking up a lot of junk too! The goal is to become proficient enough to tell the difference! Monty
