Default Quick silver

I just bought a quicksilver and can't find any one using this detector. Doe anyone have one, or have any advice. I'm pretty new to the hobby.
Happy Hunting,
Brandi

Default Quicksilver

I have the original Quicksilver. Also have experience with many other brands and models including the Big Bud Pro. What questions do you have? Joe

I am new to metal detecting as well and purchased a QuickSilver from Cabelas... I find allot of reviews about other BH metal detectors on line, but don't see any user reviews regarding the QuickSilver.

I'm hoping I didn't buy a lemon :P

My neighborhood was built in the late 1800s... so there is ALLOT of junk to sift through around here. I'm taking peoples advice and am digging up everything (but you can't go 2 feet without running accross an old nail it seems).

I've noticed the QuickSilver will sound off all three tones on an item many times... and it ends up being an old nail or some other junk. The one time I ran accross a diamond charm (costume jewlery) I noticed the tone didn't "jump around" on me at all... it stuck to the "coin tone" the entire time I walked around the find before I dug it up.

I took a vacation day tomorrow... it is supposed to be a bit warmer and am hoping I can get some quality time with my detector.
