My opinion is to stay away from either of these detectors. They are not worht the money. Stick with another name brand as these detectors are mass marketed for a particular company and the technology is old and the quality generally is not there.

The only difference I see between them and Radio Shack discoverys is a 8 inch coin vs 8.25 coil.

I have a BH 2000XD and a Radio-Shack(BH) Discovery 3300. I found quite a few coins (20-30) with the 2000XD in my yard over a three day period. Supposedly, the RadioShack Disc 3300 is supposed to be the same as the BH 3000XD. I can not confirm if it is or not. If it is, then you could get a RS 3300 for much cheaper. I myself don't really like the pinpointer on the RS 3300 unit. Then again, I am comparing it to a Fisher CZ-3D, which is not really a fair comparison.

If you are willing to spend the $300 on the 2000XD, then I would suggest you take a look at the Garrett ACE250. I know there a quite a few people on this site that have them and swear by them. That unit has the same features as the 3000XD with the exception of the VDI. I believe the ACE250's are in the low $200's if I remember correctly.
