Default new hobby

Just picked up a pioneer 202, live in the sticks of P.A lots of trails.
I'll go out this weekend and see what I can find. Is the pioneer any good?
New to the hobby, should be fun.

Generally speaking these detectors will find targets. However they are real entry level detectors that don't always perform as well as other entry level detectors do. I would suggest that now that you're interested in the hobby , go have some fun . Do not get discouraged and think that all detectors are like this one if it doesn't perform well for you.
