Have you ever thought about leaving some of your works unfinished, to show how they just seem to appear out of the white? I must say I'm quite impressed with the progress reports and I can see the unfinished pieces are able to stand on their own. Just a little crit of my own. I know you probably would freak out at the concept of not "finishing" one, if you're anything like me. Not trying to be presumptuous.
![]() Anyway, I think of your works sort of like sculptors and I know that one type of sculping shows the piece emerging from the stone, much like your pieces emerge from the white...

Actually, sometimes I do think about that, and, just recently I sold this unfinished drawing that I had done back in 1989 to someone...
![]() I had started it, but never finished it, and later came to realize that it actually was finished, and if you remember, Einstein once even said that "Imagination is more important than knowledge..." |

What a great example! Thanks for sharing that one. I really like that piece.

Lee reminds me of those old time post cards, the way you work the edges of the bottom. They really have a touch of that era.

I nust say Sherman is looking very good! I really like the detail of the lines under the eyes, great work, Beale.
