I need to get one of those books where you can put individual coins to collect. I just washed all my money and separated my more valuable quarters and my regular quarters. I looked them up in the red book and wow! I had like 4 to 5 regular quarters that are worth like 10 to 20 bucks I think it was 1985 or something like that. Is there a special book or some kind of special storage thing where I can store my special coins? let me know

try to get permission to go to schools and places like that. Especially in a school that has a sand lot. I have already found so many quarters at the catholic school I already lost count. Definitely over 100 of them. It always sounds good to my ears cause the detector can identify them quick. I just wish I found more jewlery but when it comes to it people do not throw jewlery around like if it's nothing.

3 to 4 hours of digging quarters I feel like I went to a slot machine and won all these quarters without the risk of ever losing them. I do not think I will ever do slots. This is a more safer way and it is a win win situation. Thank god for metal detecting.

Leave it to me to rain on a parade !!
The prices in the redbook are the highest retail value for coins sold in the previous year to publication ,,in other words they do not represent the market in a reliable way . next is the most crucial part of coins and value !! and that is grade !! coins found in a sand lot are without a doubt circulated examples ,,the value is directly related to grade ,, circulated grades of the 82 and 83 quarters as well as the other coins for those years ,half ,dime and nickle will come no place close to the values that have been mentioned in this thread .
