How do you store your coins?

Lately, I've been trying to decide if I need to be taking these coins and putting them in 2x2s....because for me....at that point they becomes less desirable. I want to be able to handle my coins...and am thinking I'd just as soon have an old Mason's Patent fruit jar to keep my cache in. Obviously rare coins need to be protected, but I haven't found a rare coin yet. I have all these mundane silver coins in little cardboard and mylar shrines. It's almost like taking them from one kind of prison (dirt) and placing them in another kind of prison (plastic)

Am I losing my mind? Imagine a pirate treasure chest overflowing with great gold coins in little 2x2 holders.....it kind of loses some of its romantic appeal. I'm thinking a "raw" cache would be much more fun for me.

Any flowing hair coins.....may need to get slabbed....but this common stuff? There's probably no need. I think I'll get me the right jar for the job and free these prisoners.

I have found a new use for those fishing tackle boxes for lures and jigs and things like that !!

The ones I use are made By Shimano and have 24 spaces !! Clear or at least transparent lids.

Most of my circulated coins are in these, If not in the 2x2's and red boxes.

I throw em in a small treasure chest.sort em out later my silver,indianheads,mercs,liberty nickals,etc. I put in witman folders.I have found almost a complete set of indians(15 short).

Thanks greg,The badge i found is from a western theme park in the addirodack mts. called frontier town.I also found that the woman that lost this(Bonnie) is my old highschool guidence councilar,and i plan on returning it to her soon.

i always look around yard sales and pick up the spice rack sets everbody gets rid of and use the bottles to store them in.hang em up.if you like me its easier to find if its hanging on the wall ,hehe.......... cr
