Double Dies
Here is one of the top ten Jefferson double dies,, 1943-P Double eye.
The eye shows strong doubling of the eyelid low west of the original, also present is doubling of the lettering as a characteristic or the double eye variety. Note the split serifs on the lettering, one of the main charateristics of true die doubling . Rick
