Bought my first roll of Halves today 10 $ worth ,,, sience i only had 2 Halves in my collection i was sure to get some new ones..

Hey Tiger, just to let you know the 1969 half dollar is 40% silver. The Kennedy halves were silver until 1971. The 1964 is 90% silver and 1965 thru 1970 are 40% silver. These earlier dates are still easy to find if you buy the bank rolls and go thru them. Ok best of luck on your collection and God Bless ya Tiger.

The 65-70 Kennedy halves are clad with 40 percent silver. The core is 100 percent copper. They are not 40 percent silver by weight as many people think.
