Hi Rocker,

Was this a dug coin?

Looks like it has some light corrosion but a nice coin for its age

My opinion would be VG but net grade should be G-6 due to the corrosion, rim dings and some porsity.
Retail $19.00
Auction value: $14.00

I agree with greg on the grade,but the value may be affected by the cleaning !!

According to the 2005 redbook:

1848 L.C. (6,415,799 minted) - G4: $13

Due to porosity and damage (also environmental damage) the value and grade go down considerably, so your coin would be AG-3 $4-$7. Nontheless a great find.
