That was an easy one, I have some tougher ones that are not listed in any book that I have. I'm pretty well versed on coins but when it comes to dd's and rpm's I'm lost should I post em?

Hi Blizzard,

The best resource for die varities such as RPM's(repunched mint marks) which yours appear to be, is The CherryPickers Guide to Die Varities. It is written by Fivaz and Stanton and is very reliable on prices and population counts.
Those are a pair of very nice finds. It is getting harder to locate those repunched mint marks these days. And collectors are paying premium prices. I am going out on a limb by saying that the Quarter is the more valuable of the 2 by far. I think (from what I have read) that the 1983 RPM is a little more common, but still holds some value.

Hope this helps.

Hey again Blizzard!

I have a Connecticut quarter just like that listed at the TQ auction. Not to insult your intelligence, but that is called a filled die strike or struck through grease.

I have sold a few of these types on the Connecticut (seems the Oak is the first to fill up) between 3 and 5 dollars.

Hi Free2Dtect

What is the Date on your coin, there are several variations of the D mint Mark,

One of the better known is the 1840, which as a characteristic , has a medium D Mint mark, above the V in Five, but there are others as well.
