Thumbs down 1861 california gold coin

Just wondering what it might be worth. It is a small coin with an indian head on the front

Wink Cal. coin

Daco, there were some (very small) fractional gold coins minted in California with an Indian Head on them. It would require a photo of the obverse and reverse to determine what it is. There are many modern reproductions of these fractional coins that have minimal value.

Please post photos, and we'll go from there.

Exclamation California fractional gold

Here are two examples of California Fractional Gold REPRODUCTIONS. While these are the liberty head variety, they show two of the identifying features of the many reproductions.

First is the lack of denomination marking ( CENTS, DOL, DOLL, OR DOLLAR)
Second is the bear in the design which did not appear on the authentic coins.
