Welllllllll......I looked on ebay they had 4 for 4 bucks. :( Better luck next time though,hey at least it's silver (I think) boy aint i helpfull !

Hi pat

The coin is made from sterling silver .925 silver,, .3368 ounce when minted, your worn example will be slightly below that .

I would not be surprised to see a coin like this in uncleaned condition sell for around 10 to 12.00 to a collector of the Great Britiian florins.

its a nice find and curious as well being found in the ground !

its a uk coin of george v ( 1910-36 )

there were 23,861,044 issued.

the value is in pounds sterling...fine...£2
very fine.....£12
e/fine .......£30
unc...........£ 50
