Photo #1. A Blacksmith's shop in Virginia City NV.. Camera Nikon D200 with a 18 to 70 Nikon lens.
Photo #2 The doorway to a powder storage room. Virginia City again. Nikon 5700.. Chuck you said "Make me wonder what's behind the door, in this case probably a rattlesnake or something equally nasty.

I actually am fascinated with doors as well. I have a few that I am going to throw into the mix. I'll try to do that tonight.

I think that to me, doors are an important statement for a few reasons. For me, just like the eyes are the windows of the soul, so is the door. It could be welcoming or sad. It's also a starting point and I think you have mentioned that there is always that sense of anticipation of what is on the other side.
This is a very good subject, I think. Thanks for thinking of it!!!!
