My entries for Challenge #10
#1 This one was taken east of a small town called Lychfield. Fall afternoon with a rainstorm coming in.. Nikon 5700
#2 A frosty morning in McArthur Ca. We had an early morning fog and it had frozen to the pine trees.. Nikon 5700
#3 Was taken from on top of a ridge looking west toward Mount Lassen as a thunderstorm was coming in. Yeah, I know, wrong place to be, but at least I would have died doing something I love.. Nikon 5700

Side story on #3.. When I saw the storm coming in I drove up to an overlook the Forestry had set up for a rest area. When I arrived there was an elderly man sitting at a picnic table quietly going through a six pack of Bud all by himself and taking in the day. As I was taking the photo there was suddenly a rush of wind coming through the pines that sounded like a dozen logging truck all coming down hill at once followed by a huge clap of thunder directly over us. As I turned around I was amazed as to just how fast that old guy could run, with his last can of Bud still in hand.

Thanks for all the positive feedback..
Yeah Joe, I like it out there in the high and dry as in #1. Always been happier in the middle of nowhere rather than in the middle of somewhere.
Before you go deleting entries keep in mind I've been doing photography for some 30+ years.

Red face Open country,

2DogsBob, you'd like it where I took my #3, course it is kind of high (2miles high) but it is beautiful country and not lots of folks around either. Not much good for grazing though, too dry and too many prospect holes, but nice country.

SWC

Joe

btw, I'm leaving my entries up, it's just yours are of such great quality...
