Very nice! Can you tell a bit about them? Is this your house?

Not my house. It would be very costly to heat. These were taken at Montauk Mill, Missouri. It is one of the many mills based off of the springs that feed the Current river. This one is at the headwaters of the river at Montauk springs. The trout fishing is good, the water is clear and pure and the mill is nicely preserved.

The mill also happens to be the home of about 400 brown bats. I highly recommend vacationing in Missouri. There is a lot to see. I travel down there a couple of times a year to go canoing. The rivers are so beautiful there. I never get tired of the scenery.

I very much like these two photo's. The one with the checker board is outstanding! Very good composition! Keep up the great work!

Thumbs up Nice photos

A bit more modern than what I started with, but I love them! Great open frame construction with excellent composition. I think this one is going to be hard to judge (again).

Those are both excellent Jeff. Great composition and they tell me a story.
The checkerboard in the first one and the light highlighting the basket in the second.

Talking light or dark?

Thanks Jeff G, I have referred to them as "dark absorbers" for years. Can get some interesting reactions sometimes.
