Default Playin in my aquarium again.

I just redesighned my aquarium (50-70 gal.)and made it a freshwater tank with local critters.I cought some minnows, crawdads and a leach so far( well actualy the leach cought me !) I'm going this weekend to see if i can find some bass, sunfish and bullheads to add.I came home the other day and found one of the crawfish eating another crawfish ! also when i add the bass i plan on having alot less minnows. So anyhow I've been messin around taking photos.Kinda hard getiing the minnows to hold still and the darn crawdads keep hiding in the rocks !

Yeah that is a cool looking setup. LOL you will end up eventually with one fat bass and nothing else though!

I've got a 55 set up with tropicals at the moment but I've put a moratorium on adding any more fish. As soon as they all kick I'm going to start hitting the stream around here to do a native tank. Think I'll leave the bass and maybe do a minnow and shiner set up. Your crawfish probably caught his tank mate while he was shedding, you know those soft shells are so tasty!

Hey snakeman,I think i will leave out the bass also and put in some perch.Afriend of mine has had native tanks for years and has raised some nice bass. But he also spent alot of time cachin minnows to fead em.I raised a perch awile back from 1 inch to 8-9 inches then realeased him back in the pond were i got him.I also have helgamites and other incects in there.I need to gather some plants and mabey an old piece of driftwood to finish er up.
I once had a 50 gal.tank with turtles, snakes, lizards, spiders and other assorted critters.Never knew a wolfspider would eat a toad til i saw it in my tank one day !

I used to keep fish some time ago. Aquariums did not make the last move intact, however. Here's a few pics from my old aquarium days. I started out keeping rather strange exotics, also some local fish (like pike and sunfish) then moved into planted aquariums, while paying for my hobby raising guys like this emperor tetra... Now, I just have lizards in a couple terarriums while I'm photographing them, then I let them on their merry way.
