Whoa! I didn't see it for the longest time, then BAM. That's pretty cool, even if it's a coincidence, it's a pretty big one. Civil war (actually more revolutionary to me) lookin' guy holding a gun, lookin' like he's either sneakin' up on somebody or hiding. I wonder what that area used to be. Is it just a field and the gate was used to keep livestock?

Great photo.

Actually, I see two. One where you point and one next to the rocks..

Look just to the left of the big rock, over the light grey rock.

Of course one logical explanation would be that they exist.

Ghosts: One night while watching TV, wife asleep on the couch, I saw a figure of an elderly lady sitting at her feet. She was transparent, but plainly visable. She never moved and over about 15 seconds faded away. I was not asleep. I do not drink or take halucinatory drugs. It was not a frightening experience, just strange. That was 4-5 years ago. Never saw anything like it before or since. Was it a ghost? I will probably never know.

Bigfoot: After studying the phenomenon for the last four years I have convinced myself that BF does indeed exist. Scientists have tested hair samples that have been found that are not human, but unknown primate and recent DNA has been found that is somewhere between Chimpanzee and human (much closer to human), but is neither. It's only a matter of time before it is proven scientifically.
I have several friends that believe they have seen ghosts, if I ever see one then maybe I'll become a believer, until then I'm definitely a non-believer, to each their own, I don't doubt people that say they've seen a ghost tho.

I am not sure what the thing to the left and back of the figure is. Never noticed it till now. I am certain nobody was back there when I snapped the photo. I'll have to get back to you on that one.

Yes I see it. I saved it to Dell Photo shop and zoomed in 200%. You can see the face looking at you, he has a mustash(spelling), and holding a rifle. Looks to be a black fellow.

The house we just moved out of was haunted, if you would like I can really type you some stories. No kidding. Never believed before I moved into that house. My wife was glad to move.

The location of the photo was taken at the spot where some of Longstreets Corps would have attacked the union positions on Devil's Den. The Union troops were hidden behind rocks and boulders awaiting the attack. Many Confederates and Union soldiers died fighting over the rock strewn position. If you advanced further east (right of the Photo), you would be at the top of Devil's Den with Little Round Top ahead.

I am a member of a fraternity(not college based). We used to have an old house as our club house... I could tell you stories about it and its ghost... very strange stuff....

Default There is a diference between an apparition and a ghost.

The former is passive and tends to reappear in the same way at around the same time, the latter is more active and is conscious of its' actions sort of a life without a body situation. Apparitions I've seen aren't troubling the way a ghost is, especially if they are malevolent entities with an axe to grind. Definitely NOT Fun! For those who haven't seen a ghost, I think you're lucky, especially the nasty kind. I've owned 3 haunted houses, 1 had an apparition so not too bad, the other two had a ghost and it was a real problem. The first one would terrorize guests, especially blonde women and the second only visited once when the old lady who owned the house I had just bought, died in a nursing and came home on the night of her death. Apparently she was a pack rat and had lived in the house since 1919, she was thoroughly unimpressed with my renovations, talk about your screaming banshees, I can still hear her. My neighbour who had lived next door for 50 years called me early the next morning to give me the bad news and I told him I knew that she had died at 1:03 AM and I was sorry to hear that, 'That's right she died around 1AM, who told you?' he asked me. 'One of the family members let me know' I said, not telling him that it was the old lady herself who had come a calling.
Well, enough of that.

Cheers,

BDA
