PC#1 - Photo #1, #2, and #3
Below are my entries for Photo Challenge 1. Any comments, critiques, "i would have done this or that", etc. are more than welcome and encouraged for any photo I submit. If you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them as well.
Photo 1:
Taken with a Canon Powershot A series point and shoot camera two years ago on the dock at my sister's house. The two dogs are Buzz (smaller dog) and Rascal. Both dogs are my sister's, one of which is a chihuahua and the other is a lab. They play and get along together just as if they were the same size. Very little post processing was done. The shot was taken into the sun to create the silouettes while keeping the sun hidden to minimize lens flare.
Photo 2:
Taken with a Canon 30D with Tamron 70-210 f/2.8 lens. This was a setup shot done with my lab, Libby, in my basement. Taken a couple weeks ago. The wheat/sage grass was collected and placed where I wanted it. The background is a big sheet of white paper that was color converted to more of a sky tone in Photoshop. The shot was lit with two stand lights on the right and one floor light to the left, both at about a 45 degree angle. A good bit of post processing was done to get the color tones right because the white balance had to be selectively changed since I was using two types of light sources with two different temperates. Anyway, enough boring crap. Isn't she cute? Haha. That look on her face was a look of confusion trying to figure out what I was doing when I was snapping the shutter at her.
Photo 3:
Taken last night with a Canon 30D with Tamron 17-50 f/2.8 lens and using a Canon 430EX as the only source of light. The flash was diffused through a Lightsphere 2 and bounced off the ceiling. This is my other dog, Rudy. Notice my sister and I both have a chihuahua and a lab as our only two dogs. It just works! It was bath time and he wasn't happy about it, but he cooperated well.
