Me too.Nice job

Chuck - Would love a Televue. The way I see scopes, Meade and Celestron are the Ford and Chevy's in the telescope world.... Televue are the Rolls Royce's!

A friend of mine has the 6" AstroPhysics, and I always thought that was the ultimate. While the AstroPhysics is a major force in refractor telescopes, I wouldn't trade my NP-127 5" refractor, for it!

Pictures below are the NP-127 held by the designer of the scope and owner of TeleVue, Al Nagler and the NP-127 on a Televue tripod.
Even his eyepieces are a fine work of craftmanship. I would love also to purchase his 31mm Nagler 2" eyepiece. Can't afford that if I am saving for the Minelab Explorer! So far my telescope "collection" consists of two Schmidt-Cassegrain's (Meade 8" LX-200 Classic & Celestron Nexstar 5 (origin of the Nexstar line)), two reflectors (Meade 4.5" being my largest reflector & my first scope), one refractor (Orion's 80mm ShortTube). I also have some astronomical binoculars (Celestron 15x70mm) regular 10x50mm binoculars, as well as a huge accessory pack for computer hookups and wedges and multi tripods and cameras - 35mm's & Philips ToUcam's for planetary imaging. If I had all the thousands of dollars I spent in the hobby, I could finish paying my house off! I just wish I didn't work the schedule I do, so I could get out more at night!

Wow, super shot Chuck, that is truely one very mind blowing photograph. I would love to take shots of outerspace like that. Maybe one day I will have the right equiptment for it. For now I will have to settle for just moon and star shots in the sky.

Stephan, yep been Metal Detecting for about 4-5 years now. Seems like when I have time to get out the weather doesn't cooperate. The rains have been here almost solid for a few months now. But I will settle for the and 40 degree weather over what Chucks getting down there. Man you have been blasted pretty good this year Chuck a few times. Maybe you should get into the Snow removal equiptment bussiness in the winter.

Come on Chuck, you sure you didn't copy and paste that picture from something out of a Star Track movie. Wow, that is some picture and the colors are just fantastic. Thanks for the compliments and support. With that picture you posted it gave me something else to try getting into.

I do have a small telescope I got a few year back on the Oregon coast and even tried taking pictures through the eye peice. Some did come out but then again I was using a High Tech $40 Jam Cam 3.0. Even thou it was a very cheap digital camera it got me interested in photography. Still have it and plan on giving it to one of the boys on the complex to play with.

Stephan, yes I metal detect also. Been doing it for about 5 years now. I sure don't get out alot but had a blast trying out 4 new detectors this year. Plan on doing alot more this year along with more button pushing on the picture box. With the help of this new forum Chuck has started and the freindlyness of the people here, I plan on having alot of fun taking more pictures and learning about the hobbie this year. Going to be alot of fun growing in this hobbie.
