This beautifully preserved home in New Iberia, LA was built in 1834 for David Weeks, a wealthy planter. It reflects the prevailing classical taste of the times, as seen in its Greek Revival facade. The two-story house of rose-colored brick sits amid oak trees, camellias, and azaleas. One of the most authentically restored and furnished homes in the state, it is the property of the National Trust for Historic Preservation. It once served as a headquarters for General Banks during the Civil War.

Thanks leelo - I've taken photography classes back in 2000.
l38ranger - Unfortunately this house is off limits to MDing.
Once a year they have a Civil War reenactment held at the Shadows. Very good for children who are learning about the civil war in school.
