I took my rods with me yesterday, when I dowsed the site the right rod touched my shoulder at the count of seven. The left rod was almost to my other shoulder but I stoped because I thought you went by the right rod. Any clue as to why this happened? I know I'm not a master at this just yet and maybe it is a concentration thing. If I hear any noise it is very distracting. I put the rods away after my first hole due to the rain I did'nt want them to rust. I found six coins and thought that was it,on the way to the car I found two dimes?

Hello Fiftytwo pennies:
Good morning,if you have found a spot with your rod where there is a coin(ETC) and you are trying to find the depth from ground level down to the coin, when counting down you can use one rod in your dominate hand and ,say the coin is 7 inches down,as you count 1-2-3-4-5-6-7 the rod will start to move a little farther to the left with each count and when you come to seven it will rest against your left shoulder.
When using both rods when you come to seven, they will cross, and the one in the right hand will rest against your left shoulder and the one in your left hand will rest against your right shoulder,-----Hope I made this clear--BERT

I was at the site and was actually asking them how many coins were there.

Hello Fiftytwo pennies:
Good afternoon, you would use the same method as for depth count in finding how many coins in area.
By the way, does your rods cross for yes and open up for no???
for some dowsers the opposite is true, they open up for "yes" and cross for "no", my rods cross for yes and open up for no---Have a good evening----Bert

Default Hey Bert

Mine are made of old coat hangars with gold or silver on them. The old timer that taught me, that when they stated crossing is how you can tell how deep your find is. Like if it is a foot deep, they will start crossing about a foot before you get there, I never talk to mine though. But I'm still a novice at this. The old timer just said not all can do this, that I had the nack. Any suggestions Bert

Hello John:
It sounds like you have an expert tutor in that old timer,He knows what he is talking about, yes you can get a good estimate of how deep the target is by using his method.
If you will read all the dowsing info on this forum and please get the "letter to Robin" that will tell you how to put the primary program in your subconscious mind you will be able to ask all kind of questions while dowsing and get the right answers.
just go to your computer search engine and type dowsing,a lot of information will come up so just scroll down till you see a mention of the "letter to Robin" copy this info and study it from one end to the other.
Yes you have the nack and you will pick up on the info in the letter to Robin with no problem
