Hi BERT-BERT when we arrived at the site to detecton it was rather windy then I noticed wind turbines in the next field as much as I tried to get the rods to respond the wind was making them move so I gave it up so I will try again hopsfully next week.

Default dowsing lessons # 2

hello Paddywhack:
Sorry about the wind turbines, yes, with the rods wind will mess you up,that why I use a "WAND or as some call it a "bobber",the wind doesn't effect them and they are my choice for dowsing, you should try a wand,if you get proficient with the wand you will retire the rods I hope you get good results the next time you try that spot,Have a good night-----bert

Default dowsing with L rods

Hi BERT-BERT today Ihave been practising using one l rod,to get a yes I have a silver coin in my left hand and ask the question "is the coin in my left hand a silver one" and the rod moves left,I have 6 chickens one is called LIMPY and the rod picked it out no problemI asked where is PADDYWHACK my dog and sure enough the rod moved pointing towards Paddywhack,"which house do I live in" again the rod pointing to my house, then outside a friends garden is a patch of clover I asked the question 2is there any 4 leaf clovers in this patch" I got a response and I asked the rod to point to where the 4 leaf clover is,the rod moved and I bent down and was amased I was actually looking at a 4 LEAF CLOVER ,now trying to find them in a large patch is like looking for the needle in the haystackIwas totally gob smackedI asked the question "is this 4 leaf clover a lucky omen" well time will tell,Ill let you know if it is,good luck from Paddywhack.

Thumbs up Good posts here.

Most of us don't think about how the early pioneers located their well on the dry praries. The simple fact is they dowsed for the location then built their home near the well. It was such a common practice to dowse the location that they didn't bother to record how they did it in their diaries, they just said located well or dug well today or something similar. Kind of like when they went to town, did they walk, ride a horse, or take the wagon...it was such a common everyday thing why bother describing it in detail.

Great thread, SWC

Joe

Default Dowsing Lessons #2

Hello CJoei:
Welcome,we are glad to have you aboard the dowsing forum, yes you are right about the old time settlers on the western prairies, they just took it for granted and never thought about it,My sister in law who lives in Saskatchewan province in Canada told me that the people up there would never think about having a well drilled without first having a water dowser find the spot to drill or dig the well, that says a lot about dowsing---Have a good night---BERT

Smile Water dowsing

So true Bert, just like asking for water when dowsing, you want to be specific. Don't just ask for water or you could end up with alkali or soda water thats useless to you. Ask for good potable water at a depth of no more than xxx foot depth with a minimal recovery rate of 5 gallons per minute in the worst possible drought. THEN you will get something useful to you.

SWC

PreacherJim,
I have seen some on E-bay they run $25.-35. I made mine out of steel, I guess it depends on the preference of metal you want.

Hey, Bert-Bert why is there three different metal options.
and if I use tubes do I have to put ball at the end of the rods?

PreacherJim, if you would like me to make you some I would be happy to do so I only ask that you pay for shipping. but I only have access to steel not copper or bronze. PM me if you like.

Default Dowsing Lessons #2

Hello Fifty two pennies:
Good morning,no you don't have to put any balls on the end of the rods when using sleeves on the handles, might be a safety measure to keep from sticking the end of rod into someones eye
Someone added to your message and said they would make you a pair free o fcharge only pay postage, they didn't give their name.
you can use any metal for the rods, lots of dowsers prefer brass.
Have a good day-----BERT
