Probably 40 years ago my brother-in-laws dad had a well drilled and my brother-in-law was telling me about the driller dowsing for the spot to drill. One Sunday afternoon him, my sister and my wife and I went out there and the driller had used a forked peach branch to dowse with and had hung it in a tree close by. We got the peach branch down and my brother-in-law showed how the guy had held it so I tried it. Now I am a rather skeptical fellow so I made sure I held it tight and when I would walk over certain spots the end of the stick would go down including where he had drilled the well. It worked for me, my sister and my wife but wouldn't work for my brother-inlaw. I don't recall ever trying it after that and if I hadn't done it myself and watched the women doing it I don't think I would have believed it would work but now I know it works, at least it did for us. findmor

Hi, Reading all these stories brings back memories of when my Grandfather tought my how to dows using a willow fork. He told me that the biggest problem that people have that try to dows is that they do not beleive that it will work. He said that if you start out knowing that it wont work you might as well not even try. He tought me life is the same way also.
In fondest memory, Chas |
