Default Pottery

TOM, READ the post I made on March 2,2005 at 12:00P.M. Under "POCKET ROD PHOTOGRAPHS" and get yourself into the right frame of mind to find pottery. Plant you a test garden using some scrap pottery and see how your rods respond. If they don't give you a proper response you may need to bait them. Try the garden first and let me know how you make out....PAPPY

Pappy or WVaTom have either of you had any luck at finding artifacts using dowsing rods. I have just begun dowsing within the last few months in hopes of finding arrowheads. First I ask the rods to point to an arrowhead. Next I ask the rods to cross over top of the arrowhead. Then I take a broken golf club that I use as a probe to locate the item before I dig it up. Now I have done this around 50 times and it never fails that the probe will hit something solid where the rods cross. Problem is that when I dig it up, it is allways a plain old rock. Any advice you can give me to sharpen my newly found skill so I can start digging up the rocks that I want to find, would be appreciated.

Default Dowsing For Arrowheads

J, FIRST I WOULD SUGGEST YOU LOSE THE GOLF CLUB AND GET YOU A SRTONG WOODEN PROBE. THE GOLF CLUB YOU CARRY ALONG MAY HAVE SOME REACTION ON YOUR RODS.ANOTHER SUGGESTION IS THAT WHEN YOU ARE ASKING THE RODS TO LOCATE IS THAT YOU CONCENTRATE VERY HARD ON EACH ACTION YOU ASK THE RODS TO UNDERTAKE.....PATIENCE AND CONCENTRATION MY FRIEND WILL OBTAIN YOU GOODIES....PAPPY

I used to watch my grandfather use dowsing rods. I find this very bizarre. So Pappy, you are saying that you have to use mind over matter? I used to watch them cross when my grandfather used them but he just did it for fun and never dug down for water, so we didn't know if he was b.s.ing us or not.

Default I have yet to really try hard to be honest...

...cant put my detector down long enough and when i do i think about detecting. Have made a sort of test garden and practice some.not enough to be good though. i will make a stronger effort during low water while i hunt the river banks.
