I would like too see them used by some one who knows what they are doing.I think I would learn better that way.

concentrate on 1 item while looking for points. Just to many thoughts wonder about in my head. I am going to try it on a shell hunt,civil war artillery. Think I will lay the detector down and give it a hour. Thats is the only place I know off that I would search for only 1 item.

Hey WVaTom...From your post I see that you are mental dowsing. The way it works for me is that the object emits a signal. With two rods I can only detect the signal in 4 places. North, south, east and west of the object. With one rod you can detect the object from any direction. You sweep the rod from right to left until you feel a drag. Then sweep the other way until you find the spot. Then follow the signal.

The reason I physical dowse is I had a lot of trouble with the mental part and my LRL requires me to physical dowse. If the rods will cross when you stand on a coin walk a a 10 foot square with the coin in the center and see if the rods cross for you.

just way to many distractions looking for points. To many item's lying about in the way of flint and stone. when I look for shells in 1 spot that is all there is to be found. So I can concentrate on just 1 item.
