Default Ok Guys, Help Me Out Here!

ALright Guys, as you know I am writing articles for Gregory and the TQ site. One of the articles I intend to write will be on Dowsing, but I need some know how on the subject. Gregory said you all would be more than glad to help so I am cashing in that chip.
If you could, just start from the beginning and take me through it. Anything you think a new person that is taking up Dowsing should know and would want to find out.

I look forward to your replies.

Hey MetalMadman....I think you should give Dowsing a try. I have some begginers instructions on my web site http://groups.aol.com/dowsersweare They are dated 11-3-04 Dowsing rods. There is also some tests on Dells site http://www.omnitron.net/success.htm

There is a lot of different types of dowsing and it gets confusing. Take an hour and find out for yourself. Lets us know how you do...Art

I think you will find that their is two ways of dowsing for metals. I use physical dowsing as it has the advantage when you use LRL's and MFD's. I have been in the field with mental dowsers and know it works for them.....Art

Default Wire hangers work best.

Our local public service company repairmen use bent up old wire clothes hangers; they claim they work faster and better than the metal detectors that they are supplied with, and they proved it to me.
Could it be those complicated bends in the hanger? :)

Hey Ken......Hanger are not the best but they work. Make a set of rods with 5 inch handles and 16 inches long. Stand on a coin and see how complicated it is.....Art

Default Works for some, but not all

Hey Art,
Actually, I've experimented with some copper rods I think about the size you mention. Apparently doesn't work for me, but goes wild when my son does it. We found some old iron railroad spikes that my metal detector didn't detect.
(too deep to detect)
I've heard it doesn't work for everyone, so what's the theory on that?
And, do rods made out of different metals, react to different metals?
I've been fascinated with dowsing ever since I was a kid, when a farmer
found an artesian well 60' down on our property, with a peach branch.
Thanks,
Ken/CO

I guess I am just going to have to give it a shot. It will probably freak me out if it works.

KEN/CO
according to what I have been reading everyone is born with the ability to dowse. SInce I have never tried it, I wouldn't know first hand. but it sounds reasonable enough.

Hey Ken.....Thats what makes it so fasinating. I have found people that the rods don't work for. I have had about 50 kids try the rods and it worked for all of them. It may be the kids have more energy or minds that want the knowledge. I have 95 millivolts between my hands and my right is positive and the left is negative. Others have millivolt and others don't.

Any kind of rod will work for me but material, dia and lenght are important for others. My oldest son was always 2 1/2 feet from his target. We tried and tried and finally found that brass with copper handles put him on target.

I have a few ways to discriminate for different stuff. I say stuff because I can find almost anythig. You can hold like material in each hand and the rods will only react to that material. It is easier to just tape the material to the ends of the rods. I took two 35mm film canisters, drill holes near the bottom and shoved them on the rods. You can roll cash up and put it in the canisters and they will only cross on cash.

What works for me may or may not work for others....Art
