Default Last Weekend

Had an interesting weekend. Was glassing a hill side looking for a tunnel entrance. As I was working my way around the mountain I saw a flat area below me that had some metal and wood in it. Later in the day I work my way down to it. It appeared to be an old logging site with a burned cabin or shed. When I checked the area with my rods I found a silver signal that the weight chex told me was bigger than a silver dollar. I found 19 silver dollars laying beside a burnt floor timber inch's below the suface....Art

The dates were from 1880-1925. I think the building was from the late 30's or early 40's from what was around there. The rods I used were 3/16 Brass x 14 13/16 long. I have other rods but these are my favorite rods.....Art

Default Hi Art.......

Hi Art,

It was great to read your post for a couple reasons.

1. You made a super find there and what a thrill that must have been.

2. You sure got PAPPY excited with your post. It's been awhile since
I've seen PAPPY that excited over someone's post. Art, you were
using weapons of the hunt that PAPPY appreciates the most!!!

The thrill is the same each time you use your skills and knowledge. It maybe looking in your sluice box and seeing a pile of gold, dropping a Buck, making a good shot on a Duck or finding silver dollars with Dowsing Rods. I feel sorry for the people who never have these feelings....Art

I could only imagine how finding a lot like that would feel like. I probably would jump out of my skin. Congrats on the find

Hey All.....Spend the weekend locating a cave entrance. This had been dowsed by 4 map dowsers with the information and maps provided by me. All 4 were within a 1/4 mile. I used an AimShot to find the entrance. I don't know if it's the cave I'm looking for or how much more I will be able to do this year. The Weather Men are predicting snow up there next weekend????

I have tried map dowsing and have not been right yet. I will keep trying as I know people who can do it. ....Art
