You might like the Wizard Vib-Probe. It is $37.95 plus shipping from Mytoolstore.com. It works as well or better than my friend's Automax. However, I did modify mine because I didn't like having to roll the little thumbwheel to turn it on and set the threshold each time I used it. It is shaped like a toy pistol with a trigger to activate an led. I didn't need the light, so I disconnected it and wired the battery's negative wire through the trigger switch. Now, I pull the trigger and set the sensitive once. I use a clip on cell phone case for a holster. I just draw my Vib probe, pull the trigger and start pinpointing. It's great!!

The VibraProbe costs less, and is on sale at Treasure Hut until March 31, 2007. Let me know if i can help you with your purchase.
I saw your positive review on the Automax probe that you sell also. Between these two which would you choose and why?

...Vibraprobe 560!!!! Hands down! Why? Because it is more sturdily built, water proof, turns itself off and back on again automatically depending on its position (in your hand or back in the holster(, and it has a very good range of detection! It also costs less.....now that's a no brainer!

The Automax is Chinese and not well contructed compared to the Vibraprobe. The Vibraprobe is the way to go for price and reliability.

Yes without a doubt the Vibraprobe 560 is your best buy. It is rugged and easy to use plus it is automatic. I didn't like the idea of a pinpointer until I used the 560. So it is my recommendation also. Ok God Bless.
