Default Pinpointers

Hi Everyone. After hunting a couple times with a friend who had a pin pointer I have decided to look into buying one myself. Any suggestions as to brands, what to or not to spend, etc?

Thanks!

either Vibra-Probe or Whites Bullseye ... my wife and I use both and they both work ... Bullseye will pinpoint an object at a slightly longer range ... Vibra-Probe looks to be built stronger and is waterproof

Default Hello Diggins.....

.....I stock both the VibraProbe 560 and the Treasure Mate pinpointers. They are both extremely good, well built units. I have used both and prefer the VibraProbe 560 for its sturdy construction and performance.

The VibraProbe costs less, and is on sale at Treasure Hut until March 31, 2007. Let me know if i can help you with your purchase.

I have the Automax Precision V4. It works well and was not too expensive. It is however quite large, so how to carrying is an issue as the clip on it is not very functional in my opinion. A tape measure holster works pretty good for the task. The unit also feels a bit fragile with the long thin probe. I find myself holding the probe shaft rather than the handle for fear of breaking the tip off from too much flex.

From what I have read the Vibraprobe seems like a better option:
sturdy, waterproof, no switch to foul etc. It's my next probe. Don't know that I can call Chuck by the end of March, but someday soon....

I might also suggest the SunRay probe. Although it is more costly it is the best on the market. I have the Vibraprobe , the Bullseye and the SunRay.
For my personnel use I prefer the SunRay over both of the others.

For inline probes there is the Sunray brand and the DetectorPro brand. They use your detector to operate. For hand held the best that I know of is the Vibraprobe 560. i sell them for 99.00 and this is a great tool that can be used with any detector. Let me know if you need any more help in your decision.

Thanks for the input everyone! I have been looking at some review on the Vibraprobe. One said it's waterproof to 30'. This may sound silly but has anyone used while swimming? After reading it I thought this might be cool when doing some snorkeling or whatever at the beach.

I've had mine down to 12 feet and all was well. It's money well spent.
