my F-75 almost got me thrown out of the hunt!
Just kiddin...but everyone was scratching thier heads after they been at a park site that has been pounded by them with explorers dfx's and xlt's,mxt's x5's you name it..I pulled up 3 hrs late into the park hunt and nobody had anything but some wheats .All these guys are top notch hunters and really hate to detect where they've been.
all the old stuff is down below 6 inches and if your detector does not go deeeep forget it you mind as well pack your detector and go home unless you want some surface change..I had about 4 hrs on the new F-75 total before today and am still trying to get used to it..well it was supposed to rain and we did not have much time left to hunt..I have never been to the site and one of the veteran hunters of the site said where most of the stuff came out in prior years on the site..after evaluating what he told me .I went down to the area he pointed out and their was already dig hole from the last few days all over and I was told if even a peep is heard its dug here..I guess old silver has not been found in a couple years here now, after about a hour slowly working the site and making adjustments to the f-75. I get a low high sound and see its locking onto a something at a 81-82 range , I said to myself it sounds diggable and hit the pinpointer and it gave me a 10 inch depth. I started to dig about 8 inches and swung the coil again over the hole ..low high low high..grabbed some dirt and it passed it over the coil and had a beep..damn a rusted steel cap. i rescanned the hole and went holy sh-- a solid 81 on the meter ,,got on the ground and and got some large handfuls and beeepp...checked the dirt in my hand a low and behold a 1898 silver barber quarter(about 10 inch depth)..all the guys were now a little interested in this new techno f-75...I sure am and can't wait to see what it can do once I really have a full understanding of it.by the way it hit a 1895 indian head..Happy Hunting ..Carl
