Question Newbie and Question

Hello everyone - I have been metal detecting for a few years now. Right now I use an F-75 and a CZ-6a. I live in southeastern Washington.

Question:
I bought a Fisher F-75 from Kellyco recently, and I am having problems with the connection to the headphones. I have tried the set that came with it, a set of Sun Ray Gold, and a set of cordless headphones.

What happens is this: I will be detecting and hearing everything fine, then all of a sudden it is like someone hit a Mute button or turned it way down. I can barely hear the tones even with the volume all the way up.

Has anyone else had this problem that you know of? Suggestions?

Thanks,
Pepper

Welcome to TQ. Sounds like a bad connection for sure. Either in the Jack or plug on the headphones.

Default Volume Problem

Thanks everyone for your comments. After my hubby and I tested the F-75 with all three sets of headphones, we found that it must be something in the F-75 that is not right. I intend on contacting one of their service people tomorrow.

All three headphones work fine with the CZ-6a, but not the F-75.
The Sun Ray Gold headphones will not work at all on the F-75. So I will talk to the Fisher folks.
