I will post pics of the new addition when it arrives tomorrow. Gonna dig a test bed next to my shop as well. Put in all size coins, a button, a 3 ringer, some iron, gold, silver, Titanium rings. Just to see what it will register as. Gonna leave it at the default level till I get real good with it.

how's this working out? I have a chance to get a great deal on an F70... but I'm thinking I might want to hold off and get the F75 instead.

The F75 is alot harder to handle than I expected. Although the places I have hunted with it aren't very solid places to hunt. It is the most sensitive detector out there right now. That is for sure. Powerlines, Cell phones, My vibra probe 570 make it go nuts. I haven't mastered the art of coin shooting with it, but if iron is in the ground this thing finds it good. I guess that is why it is geared more toward relic hunting than coin shooting. This is turning into one mean relic machine. But like I said I haven't really had a good chance to take it to a place that I know produces. I can find pennies and dimes and quarters with it well. Nickels are a little harder being they are in the same range as pop tops and cans. This is a super machine though. Hold out and get the F75 you will be glad you did.

I expect you will find the lost city of gold lMAO. I don't use your detector but congrats and happy hunting. My wife gave me a White's MXT for my birthday in June (also from Kellyco). I Just gave her a silver bracelet I found. ICE

Hi Zaxphire69...Congrats on the new machine..get ready to learn throttle control.this machine will go Deeper than most and find Tinier Items than most Lots of Bells and Whitles
the JE mode and all metal motion modes are leathal..Theres been a few folks that dont like the super Hyper sensitive feed back the F75 offers ..Its the Fastest,Lightest and most Battery friendly Detector on the planet..It will hunt the Harsh red mineral dirt all the way down to hunting in the salt ocean yes I said it..The F75 will hunt with the coil in salt water
with great results..I just got back from Hunting Myrtle Beach SC..I couldn't Believe I was hunting the Ocean wet sand in the wakes with this machine..GB is a key factor to more of a silent Hunt..and set up is key..so take a little time and enjoy this unit..and learn to trust it..If its in the Ground it will find it..With every hunt It blows me away..My wife got me the F75 back in jan 08 for my early Birthday..I'm still like a kid in a candy store every time i turn it on...Last weekend while on the Dry sand Beach in Je Mode I found a tiny tiny part of a staple 3" down with no probe..Its the kind no bigger than the thickness of a fingernail
..I Was impressed..good luck, theres a few on here that has the F75 and were all getting Better with it..If you need any advise or help just shoot me a pm..I hunt the mtns to the Beaches..Im new at Detecting But really love the F75's performance....james

Zaxfire
I've hunted alot with my F-75.I ground balance it set the discrimination on 21,sensitivity on 70,notchout 36,use 4H tones DE mode and go hunt. This will knock out quite a bit of trash for you and still let you get coins.I hunted that setup for a while to get used to the F 75.I now set it up with disc 7,sens 70,notch 1,tones 4H or 4(idig the top 2 high tones if they are a decent lock)VDI numbers.Nickels in my dirt are 29-31,below 29 and above 31 it's aluminum trash.Pennies and dimes sometimes hit on the same numbers.I have dug silver dimes,Rosies and Mercuries that came in at 62 and found some wheaties in the 70's.If it's 60 and above and a lock on,I dig it.Quarters are in the low 80's,82-83.I dug one solid lock 93,it was a 1884 silver dollar at 3 inches.Other 93 locks have been junk bit I'm still digging them.I've found on coins I'll get very little change in the numbers, maybe 3 numbers up or down.If it varies more than 3 numbers it has almost always been trash. If I get a"coin I.D. number" and it pinpoints real loud it is always been trash.I hope this helps you a little. This is a fast recover, deep detector. At first all the sounds were a little overwhelming and intimidating. My old silver coin count has gone way up since getting the F 75

Yeah guys the F75 is really a super machine. That is what I have hunted the past 2 days with. It is super sensitive. I have had it in De mode, sensitivity are 45, discrim on 15 and notch on 1. It has killed the coins. Just about every target was a coin or something cool. I am uber impressed with the machine. It is a bit chatty when I am using my pinpointer, but the little bit of interference doesn't hurt the output. If there is something in the ground it is coming out of the ground. I haven't used the Je mode. Because I like using my pinpointer and it is way to sensitive to use the pinpointer with it in Je. It makes the detector go crazy. I use the Vibra-Probe 570. But I tune the sensitivity down in De mode and it runs fine. So far the F75 shines. Just today I dug the Arrowhead pendant 1 inch from where I dug something else with my Ace 250. NOT KNOCKING THE ACE 250 cause it is a COIN MAGNET. But I can tell the F75 is more sensitive to metal than the 250. I love it so far.

Nice present from the wife!!! Mine bought me a Marlin 1895 in 45/70 for my Birthday this last June. I have always wanted a lever action 45/70 since I was a kid. Now I wish I had been into metal detecting though in June since I would have a much nicer detector!!!LOL Have fun!!! Do give us a review based on how it performance as compared to the Garett 250. Do try to be un-biased in spite of the cost of the unit and the fact that it is your new toy. I just say that because some people cannot be objective. Since we have so many reviews of the 250 ACE it would be nice to see how this more expensive unit performs in comparison. I am fairly confident it is going to out perform the 250 ACE so that should come as no suprise to you.

Oh do me a favor put your two untis close to each other like with in a foot of each other and turn them on and see if the 250 ACE goes nuts?

I did not read the whole thread before I posted. That is not sensitivity that is poor shielding. I woundered how these plastic digital black box's where going to do. I have heard and seen Ace 250's going nuts int he presence of other detectors so I was woundering how this F75 would do. Those fig ugly lunch box looking metal enclosures helped to shield the electronics inside from stray EMI/RFI. Most digital stuff today is poorly shielded which is why a 4 watt CB radio can reck havoc on a modern TV but a 500 watt CB illegaly operated will not put a wrinkle in an old analog TV from the 1980's. They stoped shielding devices to reduce cost and to reduce the weight they used plastic instead of metal. This is the one of the reasons I am so anti-new metal detector. Things like this should have showed up dureing the products validation testing in the field and the lab. That is like a $700 machine right? For $700 dollars you kind of expect it to be able to handle power lines and random EMI/RFI in the air. I suspect that most of these newer plastic enclosed all digital designs are going to be prone to this. They make a shielding spray that can help. It is sprayed on the interior plastic bits of the enclosure with out the electronics in place. They also make an adhesive backed foil that can be applied and trimed just like contact paper to help some.
