Default F-75

Has anyone read any reports on the F-75? It looks like it might be a winner.

Outside it will be mostly T2 but inside it will be a Fisher. Dave Johnson created many Fisher models that are popular today. He heads their engineering now so I would suspect that the F75 will be a Fisher inside. Time will tell.

Default Pretty Much.....

.....is the same Hightone, they are both from Texas Holdings, the Bounty Hunter people. My Dad once told me that "if it looks like a duck....quacks like a duck....and walks like a duck.....?????"

Default Update From Fisher F75 or T2

It's been some time since First Texas acquired Fisher and i haven't read all of the post to get up to speed however I have received e-mail from Fisher and also Tom Dankowski. I will write the e-mail word for word as I received it from Fisher. My question was one that asked it the new Fisher F75 was a Teknetics T2 since First Texas owns both companies. Below is the response.
First Texas manufactures Teknetics. First Texas owns Fisher Research Labs. Fisher Research Labs manufactures the Fisher F75. These two units are similiar in appearance as they use many of the same mechanical parts. The inner workings of the two machines are however, entirely different. The coil and electronics on the F75 are completely unique to that product.

The F75 has some unique features the T2 does not incorporate, such as:
All new circuitry providing increased sensitivity
Remembers user settings when turned off
Backlight Display
Fully static all metals search mode
# of tones and sampling processes selectable independently
More choices of # of tones and of sampling processes
Compatible with concentric search coils (not yet introduction)
Displays target ID in all metal status mode
Able to change base pitch for all metals

Well, That's it from Fisher. As for Tom Dankiwski, he is not quite sure of his role with the so to speak "New Fisher" organization. There's nothing definite. I think it would be a Huge Plus to keep him in R&D but that's just my opinion. I guess the proof will be in the pudding.

HH All!

I know several relic hunters that have bought this new machine and are in awe of it! It looks like it is going to be money well spent! As a result of thier finds I am considering buying one as I have used a Fisher for 7 years now and have been very satisfied with it!

NB . I would also like to see a F75. I have talked with so called "people in the know" with Fisher through e-mails and the word is that the F75 could possible be the BEST md that Fisher has put on the market. I hope the F75 guys will keep us posted. HH
