555D & more
Fiftytwo Pennies,
No it was a Fisher 555D. One just sold on Ebay and I missed it. It had the head belt mounted. I just posted a picture of my recent Civil War finds in the FINDS forum that I found with my CX+. It did very well. I didn't take the Ace 250 to the battlefield but may later to give it a try. Hightones & Pris, I've found thousands of coins here in VA and 99% of them are laying perfectly flat in the ground. I have on ocassion found a coin on it's side but usually it is held up by a small stone or root. I'm sure that all the falsing I was getting with the Ace was from trash and now I don't waste my time digging the signals. If I get a good signal in both directions and dig, it is a coin every. I'm sure I will learn to use the Ace but find that the CX+ is much more reliable on target ID. I guess you get what you pay for. Still the air test of the Ace is mind blowing!
