Default Sniper...

...coil will work wonders for you with out having to buy the YF-1. Later, if you wish, you can always pick-up the YF-1.

Welcome to the forum, Prison Police!! Can I call you PP or Prison or just Police? hehe. Just kidding

I have an Ace250 and don't have the sniper coil, yet, but I do have the VibraProbe 560. The thing about having a probe is that you don't have to keep getting up to pinpoint the area, as long as the target is within an inch or two within reach. The probe is really good at finding those little pieces of metal that you know where they are but just can't locate them because they're the same color as the dirt. It will vibrate only if the target is within 1 or 2 inches from the tip.

The sniper coil is beneficial if you're hunting particularly trashy ground. It will isolate your targets better and I've heard that the pinpoint feature is more dead on, so the target is directly under the coil and not off to the side, as it often is with the stock coil.

I hope this helps you, and if not, I'm sure one of our sponsors will be able to help answer your questions.

HH and good luck!

Default Coil And Probe

I have the SNIPER coil and it is simply FANTASTIC. I also have a vibraprobe and LOVE it also. The probe comes in GREAT for us older folk who have a hard time seeing targets in the dirt when they are dug.

thanks chuck and pris. Pris, call me what ever.....its all good!. I have been wanting the invader yf-1 probe for a while now. I have heard that the sniper coil is really good. Areas I have been that i guess you master hunters would call "trashy" would be the local parks, playgrounds where finding can lids and tabs is a problem.I know if a dealer would make me a deal,I would buy both, to have for all occasions. Thanks agian,PP

I have a SunRay probe on my ExplorerII and on my DFX.
In my opinion it works much better on the Explorer only due to the different nature of the machine.

With my Ace 250 and the sniper coil
(as for Pappy's and Chucks coil recommendations)
I use the Vibra Probe. It is well built and does the job.

I also use the Whites Bullseye probe. Others might disagree but I feel it penetrates the ground deeper than the Vibraprobe
BUT
it is not built as well as the Vibraprobe and I have had to send it back for repairs more than once.
In short the Vibra-Probe is well worth the expense.

Default Sniper Coil

The SNIPER COIL is one of the BEST INVESTIMENTS that I have ever made concerning MD'ing.

When I first got mine, I put it on and went hunting with Boobie and Bert-Bert.... ( You can ask them what the results were..LOL).I have NOT taken it off since I have had it.

It takes a little longer to cover an area than it would with the bigger coil...BUT....I find myself FINDING MORE and taking my time covering a lot more ground.

The SNIPER coil works close ( Approx. 1/2"- 3/4") away from chain link fences, metal bleechers etc. which allows me to get in close to areas others cannot.

As for the Vibraprobe...I would not be without it. Sometimes when I dig a target and it is the same color as the dirt, I just run the probe over the dirt...locate and pick up my target.

You would be WISE to go ahead and make the investment...It will certainly pay for its self in the longrun.

HAPPY HUNTING

Thanks Pappy. I will get both. You guys keep talking about the vibra probe.???? I am thinking about the sunray invader yf-1 probe, just because I seen it work in person and my buddy kicked my butt on finds. I know the cost is more, I can get the invader for 159.00 and I saw the vibra probe for about 90.00. suggestions? thanks

Default Probe

BOTH probes are GREAT..I just enjoy my vibraprobe...Really up to you as to what you want to pick...You will NOT be disappointed with either and you certainly will NOT be disappointed with the SNIPER coil.

You can get with our Sponsors and they will be more than glad to tell you what the difference is between the two probes ( Advantages & Disadvantages) Our Sponsors are REALLY GREAT and willing to take their time to give you their best advice.
