Thanks Pappy, I was hoping one of them would speak up. I almost purchased a Tesoro Tiger Shark. I have a daughter in college and and one in gymnastics, so the money has gotten tight. The extra money I have is from Paypal from selling stuff on eBay. I built up enough in my account to purchase the Ace 250 and a sniper coil. I did this based on what I have read in this forum and the fact that this is my first MD. I just want to get the covers now based on what I have read here.

BTW, just purchased the 250 and sniper coil and waiting on receiving it. I've downloaded the 250 manual from Garett and read it a few times. There really isn't much reading in the manual, so I am hoping to get more from the included DVD.

Anyways, thanks for chiming in.

Welcome Bighog, a coil cover is the best way to go. It will keep your detector from wearing out the coil in rocky and rough ground. Can't go wrong there. Congrats on the Ace. Happy Hunting...Buster......:merrychristmas:
