Give Charlie a holler, he makes a quality tool, and is great to deal with, The Ames Planters Buddy, sold at Lowes for about $14 is also good.

Nice pile of finds there C.A., the way you are collecting, it looks like you might think about 2 diggers.

I would like to thank everyone here for all of the nice Newbie welcomes. You guys seem like a great group and all of the information here has been very helpful. I'm having a blast with my Ace but due to the weather I haven't been able to get out this past week. I already broke the handle off of my new digger. Can anyone recomend a good one ?

Thank You

Nice finds! I just found the same little silver heart. The other side reads "skechers girl" correct?

John

Default Fiskars Garden Knife

I use a Fiskars Garden Knife from Wal-Mart.. it is great... has a serrated edge for cutting sod and roots and works really well

Hey John!
Yeah! Same silver heart. I thought I really found something there until I got home and showed my wife. Boy was I disapointed. She told me it was from Skechers sneakers. I looked them up on the internet and I found a pair of pink tennis shoes with the little heart dangling from them. Little kids sneakers. Owell! When I first dug it up I thought it was a little silver locket or something.

OH! I don't think I need 2 diggers. I'm slowing down now. IT was just the excitment of getting started with my new detector. My honey do list is growing so I have to slack off the detecting until I get caught up on some things.
