Master Hunter CX III question

Having recently purchased this machine, can anyone tell me at approx what "reading(s)" will be if gold rings, silver jewelry etc are located? I'm learning but is it ever confusing. And for those familiar with this machine>> what is a 5 or 5+ usually?

They have since came out with the Master Hunter CX plus. But what I would do is take each item (gold ring, silver, dime, quarter, pull tab etc.) and pass them over the coil and note how they display on your machine.

Most rings fall in the nickel/pull tab range on all detectors. The conductivity of the se targets are very similar.

Hi! Try digging all the nickel readings and all the screwcap readings. This will eliminate digging the thousands of pulltabs out there. This is for regular hunting sites such as at parks and school yards. At the beach I would dig all signals except for nails. Hope this helps! Joe
