Default Ace 250 Info

Hi everyone! just got a couple of questions. Right now I have a pioneer 505 and I do like it, but I'm thinking of moving to the Garrett Ace 250. I've heard nothing but good about this unit. Please let me know how the 250 stacks up against the 505? Which would you recommend? Is the 250 user friendly? What are the pros and cons between it and the 505? Any general info on this unit would be great!!
I sure value your opinions, let me know what you think.

Thanks and God Bless!!!!

Greg

Hi Greg, I cant speak for the 505 but the 250 can't be beat for features versuses cost. It is a great performing detector in it's price class. So yes I do recommend it to you and be sure to give John's Detectors a call to help with your needs. I would love to be your dealer. CU later Greg and talk to soon, God Bless you and best in your decision.

Default Ace 250

I find the ACE250 to be very user friendly, lightweight and easy to learn. Turn on and go with fingertip presspad controls. I really enjoy mine...PAPPY

I agree with them, the Ace 250 would be a good choice.

The 505 is about 4 paces behind the Ace250 for performance , quality and features. The Ace 250 isn't the best selling detector for no reason. It's the best in its class.

Well it would be kind of a long explanation and it may behoove you to give me a call so I can explain further. The 505 is a mass marketed detector sold through a chain store. Those types of items are bought by those stores at a larger discount than say a metal detector dealer can buy a similar product from the same company. Since this is the case the quality of the detectors are lower than the price point they are in. Garrett and those companies like them strive for quality and performance since the industry is very competitive right now. They don't just want to sell you a detector ; they want you to be able to find targets that will satisfy you. Some like to find a bunch of clad and they're happy with that. No argumant here. However , most veterans will tell you that they want to find something older and possibly more valuable , as finding clad coins gets pretty old soon enough. That doesn't cover it all but you get the idea.
