Default Going Detecting On Friday Then Thinking Of Detecting Another Park

The first park I have detected before and going to go again. The 2nd park is in a questionable neighborhood which I am not too familiar with. The positive side is that if I go at that neighborhood I am going to go with two kids one being a teenager already 13 and the other one 12 and they told me they know most of the people around those parts. What do I do? I work with these kids (take care of them cause they have some emotional problems) (professional babysitter) yes I do that too and they are interested in detecting and I want to show them how it goes and also am curious on what's under that ground. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN SO CURIOUS ON WHAT'S UNDER THAT GROUND THAT YOU DETECT EVEN IF YOU KNOW IT'S NOT TOO SAFE? it can't be worse that what free has had to deal with. I will be prepared with a mace and maybe a blade and once it starts to get dark I will leave.

I don't think I would bother with mace. I carry a .40

I am planning on going camping/detecting/panning this weekend, taking the wife and the 95lb dog with me

Default detected the bad neighborhood

Not too bad. Found some spare change. Not too many people around the park. That is always good.
