Default Alone or Accompanied

What do you guys (gals) do most of the time. Detect by yourself or with a buddy?

Sometimes I find it a little boring doing it by myself. Not all the time, but sometimes. I don't have too many people I can go with other than my dad who live 1 1/2 hours away.

Just curious

I usually go by myself because I don't know anyone around here who owns a MD. I'm trying to talk someone into buying one, but that's it. I've had a couple of people go, but they just sorta hang out. I think that's why I tend to feel self concious, because I'm alone.

Yeah, thats the same with me. I think I'm a little more hesitant to go to a public park or place by myself, but if a friend said, 'hey I'll meet you at this park', then I wouldn't be hesitant.

I am like Pris - I do not know anyone else to go with. I agree if I had someone to go with then I would get out more often. I have never even seen another person in this area with a detector. Maybe some day I will find someone but for now I am a solo act.

The snow is melting like crazy up this way,and it wont be long ! I'm thinking that it's just a matter of hours mabey days now ! I usualy hunt alone but Danback and his boy young Danil join me sometimes. I have also been in touch with yellowdog Dave, he lives just over the hill and may join me for a hunt this summer.

My dad and I are heading out to Cobleskill the last weekend of April, I'm trying to gain access to the spas and hotel areas in Sharon Springs. Like I said before, I know the town clerk of Sharon Springs and maybe she can hook me up. If not, maybe we could hook up with some of your leads.

Thats gotta be tough JoAnne. I know how you feel. I do have clubs in my area, but as of yet, haven't gotten the nerve to join.

I hunt alone. I don't know of anyone else in my area that hunts and it does make it alot easier to float my schedule as needed. It's much harder when you still work for a living to fit the time in. I squeeze hours in on the weekends and alot of the time it's last minute planning. I find being alone can be very relaxing.

I'd like to feel like that Bill, but sometimes I don't, or should I say, I think it would be relaxing to me to go out get a cup of coffe in the morning with a friend then head out to a site. I think I feel more comfortable with company.
